Ladies bed space is the single most searched shared-housing term in Dubai, and it is also the segment where the gap between a well-run building and a bad one is widest. Female-only floors and buildings usually cost AED 100–200 more than the mixed equivalent in the same area, and that premium is generally worth paying.
What to ask before you pay
- Ask whether it is female-only building, female-only floor, or female-only room. These are three very different things and ads use them interchangeably.
- Check who holds the keys and who can enter. A building with a female supervisor and a logged visitor policy is worth the extra rent.
- Look at the bathroom arrangement specifically. Ask how many women share each bathroom and whether it is on the same floor.
- Confirm the curfew and visitor rules in writing. Many ladies buildings have them; you want to know before you move, not after.
- Get a monthly rent receipt. It is your proof of payment and the clearest sign of a professional operator.
