- A lot of DIP housing is company accommodation, so ask whether the building takes individual tenants before you make the trip
- Green Community and the newer residential complexes sit at the top of the range, and for a quieter block the difference is usually worth it
- If you work late, check the last train from Dubai Investment Park before you rely on the metro — a taxi back from here is not a cheap fallback
- Ask who else lives in the apartment and how many. A room in a flat shared with two families is a different life from one in a flat running twelve bachelors
- Ask about Ejari and a written contract if you need one for a visa or school admission — establish it before you pay
